‘Tis the season of love at Arkansas Tech! Valentine’s Day is upon us and if you don’t

already have plans with that special someone, ATU has you covered. Between the 150+

registered student organizations on campus, many of them will be hosting events for you to

attend either by yourself or with your Valentine.

Arguably the most popular student organization on campus, the Student Activities Board, will be hosting two events for Valentine’s Day this year. “Board & Bites” will be held on Feb. 13 in Williamson Dining Hall. Attendees will experience constructing their own

charcuterie board. The next, on Feb. 14., “Blooms & Baubles,” will give students the opportunity to receive permanent jewelry bracelets and construct their own flower bouquets. This experience will be held at the Student Union at 2 p.m., until supplies last.

Sigma Alpha Iota is set to host four different events this week. The first “Cupid’s Crafts” will be held on Feb. 6. Supplies to craft cards, paintings, bracelets, and more will be available. “Treats and Trivia” is set for Feb. 7 at 7:30 p.m. in Witherspoon and will contain Valentine’s themed trivia and prizes. Following trivia is the “Sweetheart Serenade.” Karaoke and Just Dance will be filling Witherspoon room 168 on Feb. 8. To round out the week is speed dating on Feb. 9. Dress in your Sunday best and prepare to get to know your peers better than before!

Other events to occur are the making of Valentine’s cards for senior citizens with

FLBA on Feb. 8. Students who participate will earn 0.5 service hours per card with a maximum of 3 service hours earned. All cards will go to senior citizens who receive assistance from Meals on Wheels. The supplies for the cards will be in Rothwell room 211 from 6-8 p.m.

ATU Residence Life also offers the opportunity to send candy grams to up to three individuals if students fill out the form on their Instagram @atureslife. Included in the candy gram is a note attached to a piece of candy and will be delivered the week of Valentine’s Day.

This week of love is jam-packed with events, opportunities and exciting engagement for students across campus!
