Join the campus and community partners to kick-off domestic violence awareness month by learning about healthy relationships, resources available, and relationship red flags.
The first event is on Oct. 5 at the Bell Tower or the Student Union, depending on the weather, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. This event is one of many Title IX events happening throughout October and November. Many of the events will be offered virtually through Webex.
There will be Red Flags and Rom Coms Trivia Night in the Student Union at 6 p.m. on Oct. 12. Laura Abbott will be speaking on campus on Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. about her own experience with domestic abuse and how she lobbied to shape Arkansas law to support relationship violence survivors.
Title IX is also hosting Survivor Ally Training to explore the impacts of violence, resources available, and things you can do and say to support survivors of sexual and relationship violence. Join the event on Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. in Rothwell 138 or Webex.
These are just a few of the several events over the next couple of months. For more information on upcoming events, contact Amy Pennington at apennington@atu.edu, Stacy Galbo at sgalbo2@atu.edu, or visit the Title IX website at www.atu.edu/titleix.
