The Golden Suns managed to gain three more wins since Oct. 20, bringing them to eight wins and 21 losses for the season.
They started their win streak against Arkansas-Monticello after dominating 3-0 on home court. They then continued to perform well against Henderson State, a team they had lost to earlier in the season, but a 3-1 redemption gave the Golden Suns another victory. They saw success again against Southern Arkansas. The Golden Suns lost their first set, but quickly retaliated with three continuous set wins.
Their win streak came to an end Nov. 1 against Ouachita after struggling through a 0-3 loss. They took home court again on Nov. 3 for Senior Night and battled against Harding. The Golden Suns showed effort and remained close with their second set with a score of 23-25, but after three unsuccessful sets, the Golden Suns took a 0-3 loss.
The Golden Suns have had many standout athletes this season. Maddie Siedenburg, sophomore from Wales, Wisconsin, leads the team with 215 kills. Jamie Myrick, sophomore from Bentonville, leads with 39 aces. Megan Solberg, senior form Conway, follows close behind with 37 aces. Solberg also dominates in digs, with 429 total for the season.
The Golden Suns will compete at the GAC Volleyball Championship on Nov. 10 at Harding.
