Norman Hall Art Gallery has introduced their senior showcase for students graduating in May or December with a degree in graphic design. This senior showcase is available for viewing from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays, and will run until April 9.
Johnny Lieu, a senior majoring in graphic design from Sheridan, Arkansas, said, “I was most excited to show off my poster. I was able to include the names of my classmates graduating with me.”
This art exhibition is made up of four different assignments the students had throughout the semester. The most difficult part in creating these works was due to deadlines, Lieu said. “We only had two weeks per assignment, and the professor had to keep pushing the deadlines back.”
Other students in this the showcase are Courtney Curry, Mary Duggar, Jabriel Fleming, Kevontae Foster, Yu Gao, Aiden Herbert, Cameron Kramer, Emma Tiner, Hannah Wilson, Sylvie Armstrong, Maggie DuVall, Oscar Garcia, Brooklyn Haney, Chloe Hett, Alex Johnson, Rachel Jones, Cameron Kramer, Ryan Ness, Sydney Partee, Kade Prince, Rebecca Sterling, Bailey Stovall, and Jennifer Tran.
More than 94 different pieces of art are included in the exhibition.
“My art being presented is important because maybe someone that is interested in art can be inspired from it. Maybe it could be the start of a new hobby,” Lieu said.
Norman Hall Art Gallery is also hosting the Fine Arts Senior Show from April 15 through April 30.
