SGA is taking steps toward inclusivity. In Wednesday’s meeting, it was announced that preferred pronouns would be displayed on senator’s nameplates, along with the LGBTQIA+ training SafeZone becoming mandatory for all senators to attend. These changes will be implemented in hopes of creating a safe environment for students.
SGA opted for T-shirts rather than polos this semester. This topic was heavily discussed in the Senate, but it was agreed that T-Shirts allowed more flexibility and less money.
SGA is taking suggestions on how to spend its budget for this semester. The goal is to create things that will have a lasting impact on ATU. If you have any ideas, please email Secretary Breckyn Ballard at bballard7@atu.edu.
The Arkansas Tech University Student Government Association is dedicated to representing the student body. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please contact ewhite20@atu.edu.
