“Obstacles are what you see when you lose sight of your goal.” Vince Lombardi was absolutely right when he said these words. Too often do students start to slack off only when they see small obstacles in their way.
Some obstacles can be as small as getting up at 6 a.m. or not having homework done because they wanted to get some extra sleep instead.
I know so many people that have this issue, including myself. It is easy to lose sight of the goal. It is easy to forget why we are investing thousands of dollars in an education. Whatever the reason may be, most of the time it is not reason enough to lose sight of why we are here.
Too many of us are worried about what will happen tomorrow, and not about what is going to happen five years from now. College may or may not be the best years of our lives, but these years are without a doubt going to affect how the rest of our lives go.
We enrolled in classes and invested all of this time so that we will be able to provide for ourselves later with more chances of success.
Becoming a college graduate is not easy, and at times it can be a total nightmare. These years are without a doubt going to be beyond stressful.
However, the most important thing to do is not to lose sight of why you came to school. Some may have come for their future families. Some may have come for the family they have now.
Whatever the reason may be, we came for an experience and an education.
