ATU campus gears up for homecoming week and offers students numerous events to enjoy. Homecoming week is October 16-21 and will end with the Wonder Boys taking on Northwestern Oklahoma University.
On Monday, Oct. 16, students can attend a pep rally at Thone Stadium. The 2017 Homecoming Court will be announced during this time. RSOs who have registered for the spirit competition will compete to win the spirit stick.
On Tuesday, Oct. 17, students can attend Tech’s Got Talent in the Witherspoon Auditorium at 8 p.m.
On Wednesday, Oct. 18, students can head over to the Hindsman Bell Tower to enjoy food, games, music and giveaways at Party at the Tower at 4 p.m. At 9 p.m., there will be a Greek Step Show in Tucker Coliseum where Greek organizations will compete in teams to win a coveted title within the Greek community.
On Thursday, Oct.19, students can come and play games with Special Olympic Athletes from 4-6 p.m. at the Hindsman Bell Tower. If students are interested in volunteering they can contact Aubrey Holt, Director of Student Life, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Also, the Student Activities Board will be hosting a Bingo night at 9 p.m. where students will play to win large prizes such as TVs, iPads, outdoor packs and gift cards.
On Friday, Oct. 20, students can watch the final round of Tech’s Got Talent at 8 p.m. in Witherspoon Auditorium.
Saturday, Oct. 21, is homecoming day. There will be a Party at the Plaza at 11 a.m. at the Centennial Plaza. The Homecoming Ceremony will begin at 1:30 p.m. at Thone Stadium. The 2017 Homecoming Queen will be announced during this time. Kickoff will be at 2:00 p.m.
