“The Feast and The Famine” is the latest single from iconic rock band, Foo Fighters. The single comes from their upcoming album, Sonic Highways.
The new album takes the band on a journey throughout iconic cities in America. Each song was recorded in a different city with an artist from each different area making a guest appearance.
The album’s first single, “Something From Nothing,” was released on Oct. 16, and like the new single, it is available for instant download when you pre-order the new album on iTunes.
“The Feast and The Famine” has been well-received by fans of Foo Fighters, with many appreciating the song’s return to the band’s classic sound.
With a hard-driving sound from beginning to end, the song was recorded in Arlington, Virginia.
In the song, singer Dave Grohl repeats, “Where is the monument? We need a monmument,” likely referring to the Washington Monument, which is pictured on the cover.
The band has made sure there is no shortage of publicity for the album, with appearances on “60 Minutes” and a week-long residency on “The Late Show with David Letterman,” where the band made headlines almost every day, as they invited special guests on the show with them, such as Heart, Tony Joe White and Zac Brown.
The album officially drops on Nov. 10 in stores and online.
