Dardanelle steals inaugural St. Patty’s Day 5K

Arkansas Tech’s Student Health Information Management Association held an inaugural St. Patty’s Day 5K on March 16. The money raised will help fund an educational trip to a state convention.

A group of teachers from Dardanelle Primary School were the winners in the women’s division. First place was Jennifer Barnes with a time of 27:03, while second and third place went to Jade Davis and Teri Merritt with times of 27:38 and 27:39, respectively.

First place in the men’s division went to Dakota Godwin with a time of 21:35. The second place prize went to Chris Merritt, who crossed the finish line at 21:52. Finishing in third with a time of 29:27 was Jon Brown. The men’s winners were also all from Dardanelle.
